Nam Nhun is a mountainous district of Lai Chau province in the northwest region of Vietnam. It covers an area of 1388 square kilometres. It is bordered by Sin Ho district to the north, Muong Nhe district of Dien Bien province to the west, Nam Po district of Dien Bien province to the southwest, Muong Lay town and Muong Cha district of Dien Bien province to the south, Muong Te district to the northwest, and Yunnam province of China to the north.
