Working time (including lunch time and personal time rest for driver): 8:00AM – 5:00PM (full day car rental); 8:00 AM – 12:00PM or 1:00PM – 5:00PM (half day car rental). Out of this range (using the car before 8:00AM and/or after 5:00PM), there is an overtime charge. Using the car before 6:00AM and/or after 10:00PM is subject to Vietnam Car Hire’s agreement.
By the law, drivers working time must not exceed 10 hours in a day and they must not drive continuously for more than 4 hours.
The route to or from the destination cannot be guaranteed and the Google map displayed on our website – vietnamcarhire.com is solely for informational purposes.
The Driver will pick the Client up and drop you off as close as possible to the given addresses. In the event that access via a conventional route is closed due to weather conditions, road accidents etc., the driver will, at your express request, use a longer route to reach the agreed destination, but in such instances the Client may be liable for any additional costs.
There is a mileage limitation (per day or per itinerary). For a city tour, the mileage limit is 100 km per day. In the event of exceeding the limit, an additional fee will be applied.
Pickup & drop-off
Pickup/Drop-off are supposed to be in city center unless the information is stated on the Service Proposal. The rental price may vary depending on the pickup or drop-off location.
For arrival transfers, our drivers will wait for you upon arrival until a maximum of 60 minutes after your actual landing time. Upon departure, our drivers will wait by the pick-up point a maximum of 20 minutes after the published pick-up time.
If you request the Driver to wait beyond those times, please note that a waiting fee might be charged directly by the Driver. If you do not want to pay the waiting fee, the driver holds the right to leave. Unused transfers are not refundable and alternative transport costs will not be reimbursed.
If you can’t find the driver at the airport or address, you are not sure about the meeting point, or there is any inconvenience, contact your Driver. If you are not able to reach the Driver, call our Customer Service Center numbers (printed on the booking voucher) and Vietnam Car Hire will immediately assist you. If you decide to leave the airport or the given address and call or send us an email after the event, Vietnam Car Hire will not be able to assist you anymore.
Due to traffic on the road or delays during a previous transport, it can happen that the driver arrives later than the time you have booked. Vietnam Car Hire asks for your patience and apply a maximum of 15 minutes after collection time.
Our drivers speak little English only. Their English are just enough for basic communication. If you need a person who speaks English more fluently or someone who knows other language such as French, German, Chinese… we highly recommend you booking a tour guide.
We will need some information for the transfer arrangement: flight number, arrival, departure time, welcome signboard…
The Client is responsible for checking the agreed pickup time and for ensuring that the resulting arrival time at the airport departure terminal is at least 10 minutes before the check-in desk opens (not closes) and under no circumstances less than two hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time.
Vietnam Car Hire is not responsible for any costs by missing the flight if the client has scheduled the pick-up time too short for the flight departure time.
Our service might not be available during public holidays or it can be available with extra charge.
Tipping is not included in the rental price.
If you are happy with the services provided by your local drivers a tip is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, tipping inspires great service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry.
Whilst Vietnam Car Hire endeavors to provide email and SMS confirmation messages, this service is dependent upon local networks that are beyond our control. If an email or a text message is lost or delayed the Customer shall refer to our emergency number provided by email.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a quotation provided by Vietnam Car Hire may be accepted up to 30 days from the quotation date, after which Vietnam Car Hire reserves the right to amend or withdraw it.
The rental price is always quoted on cash payment basis. If payment is made by other method of payment such as bank transfer or credit card (non-cash), the customers must pay all the bank fees. You need to check with your bank for the bank fees before you make the payment down.
Our price is net including government tax and services charges.
The rental price may include toll fees, parking fees (car rental for travel – travel itinerary needs to be provided for a quote). For daily car rental, monthly car rental, car rental for business trip, toll fees, parking fees are not included – unless you would like us to include these in the quote.
Our vehicle is provided with fuel and driver included. We don’t hire car without driver.
Our service’s availability will be advised as soon as you agree on the quote. If the service is still available we will send you an invoice for you to make the payment.
Our service may not be available during the Lunar New Year.
The full payment is required to confirm the booking.
The payment can be made online with credit/debit card (PayPal) or via bank transfer. Please include all the bank fees when you make the payment since our rental cost does not include any bank fees.
The full payment is required to confirm the booking. Please note the bank transfer may take up to a week before the deposit activates our account. The booking reservations will be launched only after we receive the full payment.
There is no fee for any change or amendment you make prior to your final confirmation. Otherwise, amendment or cancellation fees may may be charged.
Vietnam Car Hire must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive advice in writing and cancellation charges would apply as follows:
- From 31 days and up: No charge
- From 30 days to 15 days: 10% of the total tour/service costs
- From 14 days to 8 days: 30% of the total tour/service costs
- From 7 days to 1 day: 50% of the total tour/service costs
- No show: 100% of the total tour/service costs
Complaints must always be reported within 14 days otherwise it cannot be processed anymore.
