On this full-day tour, you will depart Hanoi and drive approximately 44 miles (73 kilometers) southwest of the city, via one of Vietnam’s most scenic drives.

On the way, stop to visit the Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Plant, the largest hydroelectric dam in Southeast Asia.

Continue along the road as it hikes up into green limestone mountains, revealing fresh rice paddies and fruit orchards below. In the summer, each orchard is a different color as the fruits begin to ripen.

Behind the crowded shops that flank certain parts of the road, crystal clear canals and patches of jungle shine in the distance. As you approach Mai Chau Valley, traditional stilt houses can be seen interjecting themselves between the modern homes.

Upon arrival at Mai Chau, you will trek through a rich forest the color of bright green parrots, stopping at secluded villages, such as Lac, Van, and Pom Coong. Explore the daily life of the Thai minority people, and learn more about their ancient traditions and customs.

Return to Hanoi for the end of the services and a hotel drop-off.
