8.00 (or 13.00) you will be picked up by our private car, driver at your hotel in Hanoi. Transfer to southwest Hanoi, ex Ha Tay province. The drive takes about 1 hour before you arrive in the middle of rural Hanoi.

The first stop is made at Chua Thay pagoda. The Thay Pagoda (“Master’s Pagoda”), also known as the “Pagoda of the Heavenly Blessing”, was built on the shores of the Dragon lake in the 11C to honour the monk Tu Dao Hanh. The hill behind the pagoda is home to several sanctuaries ( Cac Co cave, the upper temple, the windy grotto, and the single-roof pagoda) which can be reached via a path which is very slippery in wet weather. The whole complex is reminiscent of Perfume Mountain, but on a more modest scale.

You visit the pagoda, enjoy some walk to a cave. Then get in your car again for the drive back to Hanoi. end.
