Hue Imperial Citadel & Thien Mu Pagoda – Half Day Car Hire
start with a visit the Imperial Citadel, which is a walled fortress and was intended to be a copy of Chinese Emperors’ Forbidden City in Beijing, China. After access the Ngo Mon Gate, we will take in the Purple Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was reserved for the Nguyen royal family from the 18th century until the mid-1900s. Unfortunately, American bombing in 1968 in response to a communist takeover of Hue flattened most of the city. As we can see, only a few buildings are survived such as the Thai Hoa Temple, Can Thanh Temple, The Mieu, and Hieu Lam Cac, but all the remains make a well worth visit.
Leave the Imperial Citadel we drive along the bank of Perfume River to Thien Mu pagoda. Here we visit the 7-storey octagonal tower, a symbol of Hue. Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel.

You walk through busy street of backpacker Pham Ngu Lao, get into a small alley to a truly Hue People for Hue Cakes. Then continue going along Perfume River and park then crossing Trang Tien Bridge. On arriving Dong Ba market we take a short time for local night market.
Continue through Phan Dang Luu Street a most bustling street of Hue People home ware business, then through old gate to inside the citadel, we stop at Ho Chi Minh Parent’s home in Hue (now it is Ho Chi Minh museum), We enjoy Banh Khoai and walk on to Thuong Tu old citadel gate for Bun Bo Hue then to the next shop for Che Hue. After then we walk along Tran Hung Dao Street cross Truong Tien Bride and back to Queen Restaurant or on your own exploring.
Hue Royal Tombs – Half Day Car Hire
Pick up by our driver at your hotel heading to South of Hue. There are eight splendid royal tombs of the Nguyen Emperors, situated among the hills on the banks of the Perfume River. Often designed while the emperor was still alive, each mausoleum was built to serve as a palace for the afterlife. Among them, the Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, with its lotus-filled lake and central pavilion and the simple and serene Tomb of Khai Dinh are the most interesting. Back to Hotel. End trip.
