Muong Cha is a mountainous district of Dien Bien Province in the Northwest region of Vietnam. The district covers an area of 1,199.42 km². It is bordered by Muong Lay town and Sin Ho district, Nam Nhun district of Lai Chau province to the north, Tua Chua district and Tuan Giao district tot he east, Muong Ang district to the southeast, Dien Bien Phu city to the south, Nam Po district and Laos to the west.
