Tho Xuan Airport, formerly Sao Vang Airport, also known as Thanh Hoa Air Base or Bai Thuong Air Base, is a regional airport located in Sao Vang town in Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, 45 km northwest of the provincial capital Thanh Hoa.
In the past, the infrastructures of Sao Vang Airport had been used for military purpose. Airports Corporation of Vietnam upgraded Sao Vang to Tho Xuan Airport with taxiways, apron, and runway system to ensure the operation of both military and civil aircrafts.
