Phu Quoc Airport

Phu Quoc Airport is located in Duong To Commune, Phu Quoc District, Kien Giang Province. This is the airport which has the highest volume of flights and passengers in the Southern part of Vietnam, just below that of Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh city.

The new Phu Quoc International Airport was opened in 2012. Airlines currently operating both domestic and international flights from Phu Quoc include Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air and Jetstar Pacific Airlines. Flights to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are operating several times per day.

The modern terminal building offers many dining and shopping venues. There are several hotels and resorts located within 10 minutes driving distance from the airport.

Phu Quoc island is the biggest island located along the Southern tip of Vietnam with a total size and similar opportunities to those found in Singapore. Vietnamese government planning defined Phu Quoc as an eco-tourism center and an international-level trading center with many famous landscapes, such as naturally isolated virgin beaches.

Phu Quoc National Park and the Phu Quoc Marine Reserve have been recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve. Vietnam is making efforts to make this place a special economic center due to its potential for tourism, economics, entertainment, and a central rendezvous locale for the region as well.
