Cat Bi Airport is an international airport located in Hai Phong, Vietnam. It is located in Hai An district, about 8km from the center of the city of Hai Phong.

The port was built during French colonial times then shut down for a long time. To 1985, Cat Bi reopened but passenger transport capacity does not meet the economic growth of the coastal cities. Cat Bi airport upgrade project was started on 19.03.2013 with a total investment of more than 3.600 billion and completed after three years of construction.
There are three domestic airlines are Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific and VietJet are exploiting 5 domestic routes linking Haiphong to Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Buon Ma Thuot, Cam Ranh, Pleiku and recently Hai Pong routes China’s provinces. Average frequency of 35 plays flights / dates. Separately in 2015, Cat Bi served 1.3 million passengers, transported more than 6,300 tons of cargo.
Looking ahead, the airport will open more domestic routes to Phu Quoc, Da Lat City, Nghe An, Can Tho and abroad, including China, Japan, Korea, Thailand …
