Pleiku Airport

Pleiku Airport is a regional airport located near the city of Pleiku within Gia Lai Province in southern Vietnam.

Pleiku Airport has been built since 1960s, mainly operating as a military base. After the war, the airport was still a military base.

In 1999, the existing runway has been upgraded with the purpose of operating flight safety and effectively.

In 2001, a new civil aviation infrastructure complex was built, including passenger terminal, administration building, ground vehicle building, control tower … The passenger terminal had total area of 1,432 m2 with 2 floors, capacity of 150 passengers in peak hour, 3 parking stands for Bombardier, Fokker, ATR72 and 2 other parking stands, 130 car parking stands.

After upgrading in 2014, Pleiku Airport has one runway with dimension of 2,400m x 45m, modern facilities and equipment, airfield lighting system, meeting requirements to operate flight for A320/321, Boeing 737; 05 parking stands with self-taxi procedure, including 02 parking stand for A320, A321 and equivalent; 03 parking stands for ATR72 and equivalent.

At present, there are 3 airlines operating their flights at Pleiku Airport namely Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and Jetstar Pacific connecting Pleiku to Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
