Itinerary
In the morning you will be picked up by our driver at your hotel in Hue. Depart from Hue to Quang Tri, the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). On arrival, you will visit La Vang Church, the old Citadel of Quang Tri and Dong Ha Town. Lunch in a local restaurant then continue to discover the 17th parallel, Ben Hai River and Vinh Moc Tunnels. On the way back, we stop over at Cua Tung Beach. DMZ: Just a 5km either side of the river. La Vang Holy Land, a place formerly in the forest near what is now the city of Quang Tri up by the old DMZ. Quang Tri Citadel, a military bastion and an administrative head office of Nguyen Dynasty. The incident of 81 days and nights in 1972 during American War has made this citadel well-known all over the world. Vinh Moc Tunnels, an underground village designed to avoid bombardments during the American War.
About Quang Tri
Quang Tri, about 60 km north of Hue, is the place for those who hope to witness the remains of the war caused by the US -fighter -bombers or the B52s. To Quang Tri, you can visit famous sites including Quang Tri Citadel and the holy land of La Vang, revolutionary vestiges such as Hien Luong Bridge, Tung Gate, and Vinh Moc Tunnels. We also visit Khe Sanh base, Rockpile… those places is like the most dangerous flashpoint during the war.
